Amethyst: Colored! AND New Pages

Hello! :) Just back from Wonder Con, and too much awesome to post about just yet! But for now, wanted to update with some new Amethyst work. Yep, still trying and hoping I could bring her back someday :) My ideas for her are new and different, but still true to where she came from. I feel it's important if she is to come back, to make her juuuuust right in balance between old and new!

Below is the color version of the cover I drew recently (yep! inks colors by my hubby Ray Dillon!) I am pretty adamant to make her very fair in color, as part of the Amethyst nation, they live in a cold, beautiful gem realm. Other friends, such as Emerald, you can see in snippet on the cover. She'll be the brash sea pirate :) Much warmer in color. I have other plans for Dark Opal, Carnelian, and others!

Further down are a couple new pages I drew, depicting her meeting with Granch right when she arrives at Gemworld for the first time. Yeah, I made Granch a little different looking. ;) But I like it!

Looks fantastic! I'd definitely buy this comic if I saw it in stores.

These look terrific! I was a fan of Amethyst growing up, and I'd love to see her with new stories. ^_^
